ALL PETS MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED

PREREQUISITES FOR BOARDING

Owners must provide the following:

*Current vaccination papers & rabies certificates from a licensed veterinarian. 

All vaccination records must be printed out and signed by a licensed vet.

We will not accept puppy pamphlets OR hand written papers.

*This includes:

CANINES:

Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo, Parainfluenza, Canine Cough (Bordetella)

FELINE:

Enteritis, Calici, Rhinotrachetis, Leukemia, Chlamydia, Rabies

 

We do provide a pickup and drop off service for a fee. Has to be with in 10 mile radius of the kennel. $20 per trip one way only. We do reserve the right to decline pickup or drop offs depending on the kennels schedule and size of the dog.

MEDICATION/SPECIAL NEEDS

All medication for pets should be labeled and have the directions with them. We are happy to make sure your pet receives the medicine they need, if there are any special way to give your pet the medicine please let us know. Any pets with special needs like older pets that are blind or deaf. Or just have a hard time at getting around we will be more than happy to make every effort to make them comfortable.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

Due to change in laws we need to have an emergency contact on file for all clients. That person must be able to come immediately to pick up the pet and transport it to a veterinarian.

*In an emergency situation we reserve the right to transport the pet to nearest veterinarian or emergency vet on call at owners expense.

OUR DAILY SCHEDULE

At 7:30 we let the dogs out to go to the bathroom, they get an hour of free time in the play areas where they get to run and play either with a buddy they made or we play with them. The dogs that need to be separated get play time and personal attention also.  During that time the dogs that need to be fed in the morning, eat during this time. If weather permits the dogs can stay out in the runs for the day, unless it is uncomfortable for certain dogs. Some dogs do like their air conditioning. Between 11:00 and 12:00 pets get free run and play again and if any of their necessities need to be met they get them during this time. Between 12:00 and 4:00 its nap time for the pets, this gives them some quiet time to relax. Between 4:00 and 6:00 they get play time, feeding time, and personal attention. Then it’s time for bed, we put the dogs to bed at around 6:30 the dogs do adjust to the schedule.

PET BELONGINGS AND COMFORT:

Owners please bring your own pets food and treats. Blankets, bowls and beds are provided by the kennel. For first time visitors we do require your pet in the morning so we can have most of the day to make them comfortable and feel safe, it also helps for owners to bring something from home. We recommend favorite toys, or something with your scent on it, like an old pair of socks or t-shirt you might not get back. The kennel is not responsible for lost or destroyed items so please be careful what you bring.

VACCINATION RECORDS ARE REQUIRED FOR BOARDING & GROOMING SERVICES

Please make sure your vaccinations are up to date and we have current copies on file (especially in case of an emergency) 

 

All vaccinations must be sent 2 weeks prior to any stay/appointment, new and current customers.

That includes the following 4 vaccinations*:

#1. Canine Cough (Bordetella) – this vaccination must be asked for.                         

#2. Leptospirosis

#3. Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo & Parainfluenza or DHPP

#4. Rabies

 

Rabies Vaccination Certificate (separate paper came with metal tag)

*We must have a copy on file for the Dog Law Officer or fines will be issued to us and the owner.

*We do NOT accept puppy pamphlets or owner administered vaccinations. All vaccination paperwork must be printed and signed by a licensed veterinarian.

*If your pet’s vaccination record is not sent prior and requires us to call your veterinarian to obtain copies there will be an extra charge of $3.00 added to the final bill.

If we do not receive the records by the time allotted you will be contacted and your reservation/appointment may be cancelled.

Boarding:

• 9AM RULE Please be advised of the 9am Rule; Picking your pet up in the morning before 9:00am you will not be charged for that day. This is a courtesy please don’t abuse it.
• CHANGES – If changes to the reservation are not made 72 hours prior to the day of your reservation you will be charged for the days reserved.                  
• CANCELLATIONS there will be a $50 fee per cat or dog if the reservation is not cancelled 72 hours prior to the day of the reservation. Deposits will not be refunded if cancellation is not done 72 hours prior.                                                              
• No Call/No Shows a $50 fee will be charged per cat/dog and added to your account.                                                                                                                 
• All dogs must be spayed or neutered, unless not old enough.
• We are no longer providing food but we do supply; beds, blankets & bowls.
• Fecal Removal Fee of $3.00 per visit.
• Fox Chase Kennels reserves the right to refuse any pet that does not meet the prerequisites. In addition, we will refuse to accept any animal that has proven vicious, destructive, or un-handleable in a boarding situation.

Grooming:

• All vaccinations that are listed above are required for grooming also (refer to above in purple)*:
• CANCELLATIONS/NO CALL NO SHOW APPTS For all grooming appointments there will be a fee of $50 per dog or cat if cancellation/change is not done 72 hours prior to the appointment.                                                                           

We will tell you at the time of the reservation/appointment if updated vaccinations are needed for your pet, records are required 2 weeks prior to your pet’s stay/appt as stated in the beginning of this letter. They can be emailed to gabbi@foxchasekennels.com or dropped off either in drop box outside to the right of the entrance or directly to us during business hours.

 

We do understand that people get busy, however so are we and we have to keep things running smoothly for all of our clients and employees. Making extra phone calls and chasing people down, takes away from our care and attention of the furry clients currently here. So please be respectful of our policies.

 

*Grooming prices vary based on animal condition and owner behavior. Also if you need your dog to be done by a certain time please let us know 24 hours prior to the appointment or there will be no guarantee we can accommodate.

 

Rates per calendar day:

1-30 lbs. $31.00 per day

31- 80 lbs. $32.00 per day

81 lbs. and up $33.00 per day.

 

Forms of payment accepted are:

Cash, Check (with driver’s license), Credit Card

There is a fee for credit card use of 3.5%.
